Anup Rej, since his early childhood, has been confronting an inner being which says it is the voice of God. From the earliest days of life, which he can remember, he has been accompanied by this inner guide who has silently spoken in his mind. Anup Rej believes that this inner being has finally destined the course of his life. The presence of this “ghostly existence” started disturbing the activities of his life as soon as he crossed the age of adolescence. More and more he got interested in philosophy and science, more and more the conflicts between the world which surrounded him as reality and the inner voice became more and more intense. It became a crisis at the age of 20 when God appeared in his life as a real person revealed through the physical medium of the body which he possessed. In the same body he experienced the existence of a man of flesh and blood as well as God who is no being who can be described by any physical content. Since then the drama of life where he was walking wearing the body of a man in the company of God continued. More and more he tried to
analyse and understand this dual state of existence, more and more he fell lost. He tried to gain knowledge about the working of the brain as well as psychology to find a clue to the phenomenon being experienced in the mind. During this process he developed a way of conducting dialogues with the inner being, while the man asked questions and God answered. The experience was painful and tormenting which never let him settle into a conclusion: Was the phenomenon of God a result of malfunctioning of the brain or was it real? This conflict became even more pronounced after the death of his son Ånun when the inner Guide appeared as the Guide of the soul to show him the enlightened path. The Guide exists as an invisible and unknowable figure who penetrates the human mind to bring advices and messages to the world. More he believes it more he feels like an alien walking on earth. This story is told in the book “Born is Unborn: Between Human Brain and God”.
“ From the universe to atoms the life is embraced with a wonder which can not be grasped by human intelligence. Anup Rej has aspired to penetrate this wonder through activities springing from a source, which he perceives as the presence of a cosmic mind. ”
